We'd been out running around, doing errands, getting food for our mini Fourth of July celebration (ribs and corn on the cob, of course!), as well as going to Costco, which wasn't the brightest of ideas on a holiday weekend! Actually the lines weren't long at all; it was just that the store itself was packed. Kurt and Gracie hit every single free-sample lady, which is how I found out Gracie will eat gorgonzola cheese. Yuck.
On the way home, Kurt mentioned wanting to go to the beach. He meant on the Fourth, but the more I thought about it, the more I figured we had time to go yesterday.
So off we went!!
We went to the beach at Point No Point, which is right where Admiralty Inlet comes into the Puget Sound. The scenery is lovely. That's one thing I will definitely miss about this area -- the sheer beauty of the mountains and the water.
Gracie was able to play in the waves for the first time. I was amazed that she loved it so much! The water was cccccoooollllddd, probably 65°. Kurt said his feet were going numb. She would come out of the water only long enough for Kurt to warm her up in the towel, and then she wanted to head back to get splashed by the waves.
