Happy birthday Kurt!
The birthday boy, 33 years ago!!!

Happy birthday to my hubby!! Wasn't he just the cutest baby?? This was taken probably quite soon after his birth; you can see hospital bassinets in the background of the original photo. Of course, since none of the photos my in-laws put into a photo album for us are dated, I can't be sure.

Kurt is now 33 years old. I keep telling him I'm going to change the words to that Blink-182 song and sing, "Nobody likes you when you're 33!" at him.

I'm not a very nice wife.

I sent him a voicemail this morning just after midnight to wish him a happy birthday. I started off singing, "Happy birthday to you, you live in a zoo, you look like a monkey..." but then I said, "Oops, wrong version. Let me try again," and then sang the correct version. He really liked the message I left. Unfortunately the poor man was insanely busy at work today; poor guy can't even catch a break on his birthday!!

And his birthday gifts STILL haven't arrived. *sigh* I sent them a couple weeks ago. But then the Navy might not realize that his ship is in Florida, so they could be inadvertently sitting on it. I will let you know what they are and how they liked him after he opens them. He reads this darn blog, so I can't tell you here. But I think he'll like them.

What's neat about Kurt's birthday is he shares the same day of the month with both his father (7 November) and his daughter (7 October). So we're triple sevens in his family. Unfortunately it doesn't make us any luckier when we go to the casino....

Speaking of luck, my mom did not win the Mega Millions lottery, as neither of the winning tickets was sold in Virginia. She told me last night that had she won, she would have bought me a new minivan and set up a college fund for Grace. How awesome would that have been? That's probably the only money I'd see out of all those millions, but it's good enough for me.

I keep hoping she'll win the lottery. That way, when we finally settle down in one place, she can build herself a home next door to my house and she can live near me! Now THAT would be a dream come true.
