I suppose the highlight of the weekend was the drive that Kurt and I took through downtown DC around 10:30pm at night. I'd told my parents I'd be home around 11pm (damn that early curfew of mine), but it didn't look like it was going to happen since Kurt and I were somewhat lost in DC. So I had Kurt call the 'rents, and Marty got all scared when he told her that we were in downtown DC at 11pm -- which is why I had HIM tell her. I know better than to get myself in trouble with her. Hehe.
So then we're just around 7th St NW, and I notice this girl with shorts so high you can see her bottom. And platforms with spike heels. Black, no less. :o) I kiddingly ask Kurt, "Is that a whore??" And his reply was YES!! WOO HOO!! I'd never seen a prostitute before, so that just made my week!! There was a whole group of them "waiting for the bus"... One girl had her nipple all hanging out, which was rather offensive. But they weren't trashy, like the ones you see on Cops. They were pretty, and nicely dressed. Well, scantily, yet nicely. :o)
Kurt managed to scare the crap out of my stepmom also, which pleased me to no end. He used her laptop to look up the locations of some Montgomery Ward's because there was an amethyst ring he wanted to get for me, and we couldn't get it up in DC. She came into my room to see what was going on while I was in the shower, and asked what Kurt was doing, so he replied that he was looking up Ward's because there was a ring he wanted to buy me. Marty got all shocked because she was thinking engagement ring!!! Bwahahaha!!!! I love scaring the parents.... Hehehe.
So I completely didn't want to come back to campus this weekend. And it's nothing against my friends here -- I missed them terribly. But I just didn't want to return to the stress and the programs and everything I need to do. I like being with Kurt -- he makes me laugh, he holds me when I need it, he loves me so much. He makes me feel good. And so I love being around him. When I'm away from him, it's really hard... And this year at school just isn't going well. Every weekend it gets harder and harder to come back... especially when I realize that next year we'll probably be at least 200 miles apart, and not get to see each other but once a month. If that. *sigh*
But my roommate starryiied did a lot to cheer me up today, even though I don't think she realized I was sad. We went to Aromas, which is the coolest coffee shop EVER, where I got a honey do latte that was more honey than anything else, but was still good. And then we wandered around Merchant's Square, gathering gifts for friends and family. I even got my sister's birthday/Christmas gift (sorry, Michele, it's only one gift since it's kind of expensive -- but I hope you like it), and I wanted to get a little present for Fuzzy Tomato because she has been such a wonderful friend to me this year, always being there when I am in the mood to whine and/or rant. Such a good feeling to have friends like these... :o)
OH!! Which reminds me... While at Aromas, we ran into Professor Hutton, which is one of the coolest professors on campus. He remembered my roommate's name, even though she was pretty quiet in his class, and he remembered my face, though I had to tell him my name, from one of his big lecture classes!!! There must have been over 150 people in our class, and he remembers me. It's gotta be the red hair. :o)
And given a choice between me and Drew Barrymore, my boyfriend would choose me!!! Even with Drew's red hair... WOO HOO!! But it is the general concensus that Kurt will probably run off with our friend Katie. He adores that girl. :o)
And if he does, then I shall marry our friend Scott -- by flying Elvii in Vegas. We already found one Elvii at dinner tonight.... ;o)
